Pay Per Click Advertising (PPC) Explained

When a search is made in the engines (such as Google) the results page will bring up a list of 10 websites that appear naturally, and then "sponsored links" either down the right hand side or in a grey box at the top.

These "sponsored" companies are paying the search engine to be there, and this is called pay per click advertising, or AdWords.
