The Big Chip Awards 2009

One of the projects I have been working on (and have shares in!!) has been nominated for the "Big Green Chip Award" in the 2009 Manchester Digital Big Chip Awards

ICT and New Media outside London!!

Organised by and for the industry, the Big Chips have an unrivalled reputation for integrity and independence and are judged by a distinguished panel of experts.

The Big Green Chip Award

"An entry in this category can be any application of digital technology that has directly or indirectly helped improve or preserve the environment, or any digital project that is exemplary in achieving its goals in an environmentally sustainable way.
For example, a project which encourages or helps people to reduce their carbon footprint using a digital medium, or the application of digital technology significantly to reduce the environmental impact of a product or service."

June 2009 - Update

We didn't win the Green Chip Award, but we had a really good night anyway, met some useful industry contacts and had a glass of wine or... I cant remember!!! I do remember looking round the bar area at 3.45am and realising I was one of the few left - Bedtime at that point!!

Met the guys (and girl) from STAN PR who are thoroughly nice people and I hope to send some work their way very soon!!

Well done to Simon and Kat at PushON for winning "Best use of Search" - That award will be mine next year!!!
